This is GOT7's first official activity as a group since leaving their former agency, JYP Entertainment.

The new single “Encore” embraces the sentimental pop-R&B that’s acted as a cornerstone of GOT7 album tracks. Written and co-produced by Jinyoung, the song speaks to a pledge the group made when they were younger and says they’ll continue singing for their global fanbase (known affectionately as IGOT7) for the rest of their days, asking the listener if they’ll be with them too.

For a group that has seen its members actively share frustrations with singles being re-mixed, sounds altered, or certain songs being overlooked entirely, “Encore” feels like a true expression of GOT7—not forced to fit their visions into music trends but a pure, unfiltered message.
